BASF Kaolin is an excellent titanium dioxide extender in architectural paint providing both opacity and tint strength

ASP® hydrous aluminosilicates extend titanium dioxide while improving color, gloss, dispersion, stain resistance, and enamel holdout.

 

Satintone® calcined extender pigments provide titanium dioxide extension with lower sheen and higher abrasion resistance.

 

Still others, such as Translink® extenders, are designed to economically increase coating strength and durability.

 

Kaolins are also used extensively in high-performance settings and in specialty coatings where durability is key, including traffic paint, textured paint, baking enamels and coil coatings.
